Because we care about children’s learning, we are calling for a trial of the Government’s National Standards before they are implemented across New Zealand. Parents, education experts, principals and teachers around the country are urging the Government to put children’s learning first and make a sensible decision to test and evaluate the National Standards.

WE ARE CONCERNED THAT: •The Standards are untested •They could label children as young as five as failures •They could result in misleading and damaging school league tables •They are not the solution to under-achievement.
