Because I care about children’s learning, I am deeply concerned about the Government’s National Standards policy. I am worried that:

  • The Standards are untested
  • They could label children as young as five as failures
  • They could result in misleading and damaging school league tables
  • They are not the solution to under-achievement.

Please put children’s learning first and defer implementation of the standards until there is evidence they are good for our children.
